Famous Cincinnati Chili (5-Way)
Authentic Cincinnati-style chili with unique spices, served over spaghetti

- 2 pounds ground beef, fatty is ok
- 2 large yellow onions diced
- 8 garlic cloves minced
- 4 cups beef broth (kitchen basics is best)
- 1 15-oz can tomato sauce

2 tbsp chili powder
1 tbsp worcester sauce
2 tsp salt or more to taste
1 tsp ground cumin
1 tsp ground cinnamon
? tsp all spice
? tsp cayenne
1 tsp black pepper
1/2 tsp nutmeg
1/4 tsp cloves
1 lb spaghetti cooked according to package directions
1 yellow onion diced
2 cloves garlic
1 can red kidney beans
2 cup cheddar cheese shredded
Instructions
- Add beef through broth, bring to simmer and stir well to break up the beef. Add tomato sauce, all the spices and then simmer for 1 hour stirring at first to make sure mixed well.
- Cool and put in fridge all day or even better overnight.
- When ready to serve, heat up to simmer.
- At the same time, in a small pan, sautee second batch of onion and garlic for the onion side. When cooked, add kidney beans to heat up with it for 1 minute.
- Serve. Order: pasta -> chili -> onions/beans -> a lot of shredded cheese
